My husband, Arnold and I have been in the guiding business since the early 1980’s. We not only guide, we also own a B&B for those who like to “go it alone”. We have 60% repeat guests and cater to any ages. We run a fully covered Marathon Marine Jet boat with all the amenities, including a heater for those cold and rainy days.

Our season runs from mid June through end of October. We guide on the Skeena River and its tributaries for only bright silver fish. We are also a licensed fish processor. Over the years our guests have landed some very big fish: 21 KG Steelhead; 39 KG Chinook; 15 KG Coho. Our guests release all female Salmon and we encourage catch & release as much as possible, we plan to do more in the future. Many of our guests stop fishing after they land their limit and go site seeing instead. We never use roe. We feel that the chemical used to treat roe is harmful to Trout and Salmon fry.

My brother, Jim Candelora, landed the Kalum River Chinook Salmon record on May 24, 1983, That fish weighed over 83-pounds. The record has since been broken. Noel Gyger and I along with others witnessed Jim land that fish. The fish changed many of our lives. It is easy for us to understand why folks from all around the world come here to fish. We can provide anglers the ultimate in Fishing opportunities in the Kitimat area.

We offer Kitimat River Drift boat trips, Douglas Channel Salt water Charters and Jet Boat Trips.

We Drift down the Hatchery enhanced Kitimat River and fish for Chinook, Chum, Pink and Coho Salmon as well as Steelhead and trout. We can accommodate all skill levels of anglers from beginners to the ardent anglers. We can use hotshots, tackle or fly fish for all the species of fish in the river. Ron is a F.F.F certified fly fishing instructor.

Troll the Douglas Channel for all species of salmon or jig for Halibut, Snapper or Rock Cod. Crab and Prawns are always an added bonus. The Douglas Channel is not only scenic but has plenty of aquatic wildlife to entertain you traveling to the fishing grounds. Top^

I was born and raised in Kitwanga, British Columbia and have been fishing the Skeena River and its tributaries for over 25 years. If you enjoy fishing, we have the fishing adventure for you. We guide both fresh and saltwater with first class equipment and also offer helicopter adventures.

Catch and release is my specialty but if you must keep a fish, please make it a small one and one from a plentiful run of wild Salmon.
